OHP introduces FenStop™ fungicide OHP, Inc. is proud to announce the latest addition to our family of greenhouse and nursery products. FenStop Fungicide is federally registered and is undergoing the state registration process. FenStop is slated to be available to growers in the 4th quarter of 2006. FenStop, with active ingredient fenamidone, is a stellar rotational product on downy mildew, aerial phythophthora, phythophthora, and pythium. For those battling downy mildew, FenStop provides another option in the fight against the everexpanding disease. FenStop, as either a spray or drench, is both systemic and translaminar. Growers may use the product once every 28 days and FenStop should be used as part of a rotational program. Growers under intense downy mildew pressure should consider other products at 7-14 day intervals. Labelled for use in greenhouses, FenStop is used at rates varying from 7-14 fl. oz. per 100 gal. of water. FenStop is an inhibitor of the quinone outside site within the electron transport system (QOI inhibitors,MOA #11). It has the same mode of action as Compass™ O and other strobilurins and should not be rotated with those products. FenStop has not exhibited cross-resistance to other commonly used fungicide classes such as sterol inhibitors, phenylamides, dicarboximides, and benzimidazoles. It can be rotated with those materials. FenStop comes in a quart package and carries a 12-hour REI and WARNING signal word. Check with your state regulatory agency to find out the registration status of FenStop in your state.
