The future looks bright for OHP
As we head into a new year,we face numerous challenges in our greenhouse and nursery
industries.
At OHP,we recognize the challenges growers face with labor, energy costs, freight
issues, dealing with the Big Boxes – the list could go on.
Our charge is to make your life a little easier by providing quality products and services
which effectively and economically address the pest issues you face.
When we sell a product to you,we invest a chunk of money back into research and
development. We re-invest monies back into the market in the form of new or
improved products and technologies for the grower.
We are, in essence, re-investing into our industry. Hopefully, this resonates with growers
because without this re-investment, there will be fewer and fewer new products introduced.
In the short term, growers may save money by purchasing the myriad of generic products
available.
However, the long-term consequence of choosing generics is that some
manufacturers may exit this market, leaving fewer choices.
We hope growers take the long-term view.
OHP is continuing to work on several products which we will introduce in the next several
years.
OHP GM/Vice President Terry Higgins says the company goal is two new product introductions
per year.
