| Directions for Use:
Placement: Place one Scout IPM Card per 1000 square feet of production area.
More traps per square foot allow for more thorough insect monitoring. Additional placements should be by all entry points (doors, vents etc.) into the greenhouse.
Place traps under the benches and also give special attention to the plants on the outside rows of benches. Placement of the Scout IPM Cards should be vertically above the canopy to 16” above the crop where most insect activity occurs. Place the trap in the same position every time and adjust the height as the crop grows.
Place Scout IPM Cards horizontally for fungus gnats and silver whitefly adult detection. Remove the clear plastic sheets from both sides of the Scout IPM Cards exposing the adhesive and hang using the pre-punched hole or place the pointed end in the pot.
Monitor and record: The Scout IPM Cards should be checked at least once per week or preferably every 1–3 days. Record weekly the location of the Scout IPM Cards and the adult pests to evaluate pest infestations. Replace the old traps with fresh Scout IPM Cards weekly after recording pest information.
Indoor potted plant use: Scout IPM Cards aid in the control of light to moderate insect infestations of indoor potted plants. The aurolin yellow color reflects at a wavelength which attracts target flying insects. |
